About the piece
The Asp, or Egyptian serpent, a symbol of divine royalty, deity, rebirth, and creative life force in ancient Egypt. As legend has it, upon being defeated by her rival, Octavian, the Pharaoh Cleopatra requested an asp be brought to her in a basket full of figs. As if in ritual, she slipped her hand into the basket, taking her own life with one venomous bite.
Elle Qui Vit, translated from French to She Who Lives, explores notions of the divine feminine through the ages. Female legacies inspire unique and unexpected pieces of jewelry, created with a deep sense of integrity to ignite and celebrate womanhood.
